I have “unfinished” tattoos. not sure if they are…they seem to look better and better as is. and it is easier to add to a tattoo than subtract, so to hesitate is divine…in some cases.
so how I lately have been posting, aside from direct entries into fb, twitter, retweets, is I use tumblr, from anywhere, and it automagically posts to twitter and fb at the same time. the only thing that feel neglected is my website which is in need of a facelift anyway. more private stuff goes directly to fb. looking forward to diaspora and any other ideas that people may have, share how they share, you share…

Amma, redwoods, muddy waters, Santa Cruz .
Watched billy Elliot last night, lots of fun. Very charming acting, writing: “just because I like ballet doesn’t mean I’m a puff…”
Here at the Actual Cafe in Oakland on san Pablo (emeryville?) It is laptop-free day. No laptops, nice place, super bike friendly with plenty of space inside for bikes. Good deal on good latte. Lots of nice wood tables, big couches, very good photo exhibit. I think that laptops would help fill up a pretty empty cafe, or just go the way of ritual and 4barrels with no wireless or outlets. Just great coffee drinks.
Lovely Russian supermodel dentist only found about ten problems and I watched madmen in the goggles… jb and harry potter was fun. Long day. Helmet and life is related to nirvana how? Ego be gone-o I suppose. In the west we think we need our ego in its tame, mindful form.
A very good essay on a great film. I just watched it again tonight after a few year. Amazing, I love Antonioni, and I am glad to know that this film, his ground-breaking film, was released when he was 46, and was initially booed at Cannes.
I love the simplicity and the way he used the camera and the actors to deliver without a lot of extra fluff. It’s hard to find that today even in a film like the American, where there was too much of some things.
This essay explains what a lot of my writing is about, what’s real, and I would love to emulate this film more in my novels. Blow-up is more famous but this is an incredible film.
I saw an amazing dance performance in Oakland tonight, a collaboration of the Axis and Inkboat Companies, which sold out in San Francisco, and was a full house tonight. Inspired by the paintings of Odd Nerdlund, the performance was full of tension, intensity, flow, and wonderful music and costumes. More info here: http://www.axisdance.org/performance.php and Sunday is the last performance, but keep them in mind for their next runs, respectively.
spent busy morning with professional organizer Andrea Waits who did a great job helping us get rid of a lot of stuff and change some things around.
read a good chunk of new Rumpus poetry book club selection called The Network by Jena Osman, very good so far. one lesson learned: lead poisoning can lead to cannibalism, so be careful!
did some writing and then picked up comix, hell boy and criminals, including hellboy jr, art by bill wray of ren and stimpy fame!
and back to organizing, working on project management class, etc…

finished issue #3 of Scarlet. quite good, disturbing violence, good in spite of.
This is wear it all started, according to sources close to Palin: this is when, after studies showed her connections to distant cousins with crowns and monocles, she began to “realize” that American politics is really a monarchy.
Our source says that more and more, Sarah Palin is convinced that President Obama is really a king, and the only way she will have a shot at being “President/Queen” Palin is to marry Obama or Karl Rove. After reading about the life and untimely end of Mary Queen of Scots and other royal histories, she saw how successful, temporarily, Mary and other royal women had been after the death of spouses and various marriage opportunities. Our source said she really smacked herself on the forehead when she realized the electoral college was just fluff. And she thinks Karl is pretty handsome.
Reading about the election results, my impression is that a whole bunch of people actually voted, inspired by a bad economy and billions of unrestricted cash flowing into political campaigns. Records amounts, thanks to the Supreme Court. Many Republicans now have power, theoretically, to carry out the wishes of votes and big business. What will happen? Will anything be accomplished? I doubt it. When gridlock sets in, soon, both sides will start blaming and positioning for 2012. Palin will try to weasel her way into the minds of the unemployed, conservative masses with some success, and will put up a real fight in the primaries. If the economy improves, Obama will get some credit but possibly not enough to fend off a conservative wave. If it doesn’t he is screwed and will get more power to big business, the rich, and other friends of the GOP. It doesn’t really matter if it’s Palin or some other conservative, if the recession continues the rich will profit and Obama will be blamed, for a while…
